Seems like you're always on here. I can see pd doesn't...but most others of you have closed profiles. Just wondered.....I'm thinking about visiting the Science section. Will I be welcomed over there?

JohnS....Thanks..I wasn't leaving...just visiting. Reminded me of school too much. Came back after 10 min. over there.
EDIT..I keep my profile closed because of some comments I got at the first (someone looking over it)...and because other sections said trolls would mess it up on purpose. Sorry...wish I could open it..

Kelly...I saw a tv show on Discovery I think about way back when they had the temple goddesses etc. they had a contraption that made the statues shed tears of blood. I don't know about the Jesus statues...if it's true or not. I never understood how that saint "flew". ..but one time at church I felt like I was going to. Maybe angels lifted him up. Maybe the skeptics have an answer for this.

pd..I've heard trolls report things for no reason off our profiles...and Y/A doesn't do anything to them but our accounts get canceled. Then we have to start over with a new avatar. I don't want to lose my points.

I started out in the math section, and used to visit there frequently. One of my graduate degrees is in mathematics. However, I eventually got tired of doing highschool students homework. It would be nice to get some interesting math dilemas, and real world problems, but 99.9% of that section is kids getting other people to do thier homework.
I drifted around in science and have been here for a long time, because nobody here asks me to do thier homework.
I also check in on astronomy, but but they tend to get the same questions over and over there. Much more so then this section.
edit: aside from that, many people actually appreciate me giving them logical and rational answers. I have had quite a few people thank me for pointing out that they were suffering from sleep paralysis, or other night time hallucinations.
Yes, there are many people who want to believe magicical things, even if its completely irrational, and there is no evidence for thier belief. But there are people who want to know the truth, not the mystical magical cop-out answer.

I'm no scientist, but I'm over there more then here.I don't answer many questions.I don't know the answers most of the time.I learn a lot though. It doesn't bother me much, anymore, that the paranormal section is here.Maybe somebody is learning something. It is kind of aggravating when folks post ghost stories, telekinesis questions and other supernatural claims. Then get angry when someone says it's ridiculous nonsense. That's what most scientists consider it.So it's what you'll get in a Science forum. It's sad so many find real science boring. If you'll take the time and really look. It's far more exciting and mysterious then the paranormal world.Even if you don't understand all or even most of it.
EDIT.I keep my profile closed because I have an open challenge to psychics.

Sure, that's where I got started. I used to have a TC badge from Science & Math, but that's hard to maintain. It's such a big section and there are many contributors. Just for kicks, below is one question I recently answered, but don't expect me to list them all!
EDIT: By the way, my profile is closed because I have a little thumbs down troll here in Paranormal (he knows who he is and so do I). I'd prefer that he not follow me into other categories.

Denie, you are in the science section.
I do visit other areas occasionally if I'm seeking specific information. I haunt this area for entertainment.
I keep my profile wide open because I'm not ashamed of any questions or answers I've posted. I am wide open to scrutiny.

Atheists CAN migrate to the "technology" component to Y!A, if that's what that they had desire to do. they might ask & answer questions in *any* Y!a classification, such as R & S. many human beings have "severe" questions approximately faith and God- even Atheists. in spite of the undeniable fact that, you comprehend that this classification is for asking questions approximately ALL religions and ALL forms of spirituality- no longer almost the Christian God. i might desire to be sure *greater* "severe" questions asked in this classification. regrettably, i've got observed that the "severe" questions are surprisingly much skipped over. it would be advantageous if all of us ought to start specializing in those severe questions, rather of posting, or responding to, flame-baits, rants and phone outs. i haven't observed "myriads of theists trolling the technology section"; replaced into that remark meant to intend that Atheists troll the R & S classification? if so, i might ought to agree that many human beings troll this section: Christians and Atheists, alike. i'm beneficial that there are clever and considerate Atheists who're "right here", in R & S, by way of fact they have an pastime in faith & Spirituality. The R & S classification is for asking and answering questions; no longer starting to be arguments, and not for telling others the place to circulate. Christians ought to set a reliable occasion, does no longer you settle?

Hello Denie if you click the Science and Mathematics link you will have all q&a on all subjects ralating to mathmatics and science.
I do not know why yahoo put this in the science and math section it should have been right under M&f and R&S that is where it belongs. I would question the sanity of those at yahoo.

However that is a confusion.

They like to come over here and show how smart they are by telling us that we don't really see ghost and the like. It's like mental masturbation. The scientific method they talk about leads to nothing. It's the guys that blow off the rest of the field and branch out in a new direction that move science forward. The rest use the "method" to try to disprove the real movers and shakers.
Edit. Denie, don't go! We will miss you!

I just wish they would stop pretending the science and math section is their home and they are NOT clicking on the paranormal section. It just magically finds them.
Hey maybe that is paranormal.
How ironic.
