Another question:
Is Oprah's endorsement just another celebrity endorsement? Is she something more?

Yes indeed. But it's bigger t han Oprah. It's about Hollywood and other celebrities (like Oprah) who think they are smarter than anybody else.
They aren't. Many celebs haven't even graduated from high school.
A bus driver who takes kids to school has more actual responsibility for human life than Oprah or other actors.

OMG, we'd better get all paranoid and threatened because, for once in history, a black woman has finally gained almost as much power and money as the rich white men who have run our country for 100 years and more.
I'm more worried about Murdoch. And our current rich white male president who, in spite of being rich and white and male, was never qualified to be president, while the tons of qualified blacks and women never even got a chance. And the fact that only a pathetic 17% of the U.S. Legislature is female.

Yes, I think we should beware, but this is not the first time that celebrities have got on the bandwagon for politicians. It's the same old story. Whom is Barbra Streisand supporting this go-round?

You should always beware of any endorsements of anybody. People should do adequate research of their candidates and pick whom they think will best serve the US. Many people are lazy however and will do their research channel surfing.
