Wow! That's like asking if Jimmy Stewart was a good actor! He won the Heisman at USC, was the overall number one draft pick in 1969, then went to the NBA to play for Buffalo. He basically was the Bills offense for five years, led the league in rushing four times, and was the first player in history to rush for 2000 yards in a season. And that was during a 14 game season! Member of the pro football Hall of Fame since 1985. Was OJ Simpson a good football player? You tell me!

Archie Griffin. Two time heisman trophy winner, ran for over 100 yards in 31 consecutive games, only 4 time starter in the rose bowl, and undefeated against Michigan. What Woody Hayes had to say about him, "He is a better person than football player, and he is the best football player I have ever seen." I have met the man, class act all the way.

Tough one, Herschel Walker was unstoppable at Georgia, Barry Sanders was also good, Matt Lienart was a winner his whole collegiate career.

Gotta say Herschel Walker.

It takes a team. One person cant do it alone. Having said that ABC's list of greatest players is very screwed up. Vince Young should not be on that list.

Archie Griffin and not for any of that pro Ohio State propaganda...... As of now, he's the only two time heisman trophy winner.
