When you start taking the green pills thats when your period will/should start. Your period should last like it did before you started the birth control. There are only 28 pills because drug manufacturers base a woman's cycle on 4 weeks--which is 28 days. In addition, typically females have a cycle that's around 28 days, but 30, 32 days etc. can also be normal. You may get your period as early as you expect it to this month, but the birth control will eventually regulate you where you will start on the green ones. Don't be scared, and if you have questions, contact the person who prescribed them to you.

On another important note, please be aware that birth control pills are not as effective if not taken EVERY day at the SAME time each day. Don't skip a pill, and if that happens, don't take two to "catch up". You can still get pregnant. Also, bear in mind that pills do NOT prevent you from getting STDs, so make for certain that your partner wears a condom always to protect yourself. Good luck, and I hope I've helped you understand.

1. Because most women have a 28 day menstrual cycle, not a 30 day one.
2. The date of your period will now be controlled by the pill. When you used to get your period doesn't matter.
3. Women vary a bit, but you will probably get your period after the 2nd inactive pill.
4. Your period will probably not last 7 days, especially if your period did not last that long before you stared your pills. Your period will last only until your body is done expelling the menstrual fluid.
5. It's normal to spot when you are first starting pills. After a few months, you will probably not spot unless you miss a pill or are significantly late with one (you should be taking them at about the same time every day). If you do forget a pill, it is very normal to have spotting a day or two later. That spotting can be pretty heavy. It's nothing to get alarmed about.

1. The normal cycle of a womens period is 28 days. It has nothing to do with days of the month.
2. By taking birth control, your cycle is often readjusted to a different day than what it was before. My start day has changed a whole lot since I started taking pills. If you miss a pill, it can make your period start super early. If that happens, you need a stronger dose.
3. You should get your period when you are taking the inactive pills. I'm not sure which colors are which in your case. Read the directions that it comes with.
4. My period used to be 7-8 days before birth control, then it came down to about 6, and now its about 5 days.
5. You should only bleed during the inactive pills, unless, again, you miss your pill and your dose is not strong enough and you happen to start your period early.

If you call your doctor/gynocologist, they can answer ALL of these questions for you over the phone.

Yes, there are 30 days in most months, but your CYCLE is usually 28 days. Most women have 13 periods a year, not 12. The pills follow the cycle.

Your period will probably be lighter. All your other questions should be answered by the info that came with the pills, or the website for the Aviane.

Good luck.

I'm not sure about all your questions as I don't take that brand. However there are 28 because a "normal" cycle is 28 days not 30. On my brand there are 4 white ones at the end, which are the ones that are sugar pills and at the end of the four when I actually start the next pack is when it starts. It took two cycles for the pill to regulate properly and so it may not be entirely "normal" the first time. Maybe someone with actual experience with that brand can answer the rest of them. HOpe that helps a little.

1. A womans cycle is more like 28 days.
2. Your period will fall in line with the green pills after a month or
two.
3. Eventually you will start getting it after your second or third
green pill.
4. No, probably be around 4 days.
5. Shouldnt be spotting at all after the first month or two.

1. A woman's cycle is usually every 28 days.

2. You might, it all depends, its different from woman to woman.

3. With the fourth week, you could get it anytime that week. In my case, I get it the Fifth or Sixth pill of the fourth week and it lasts till my last pill or my first pill of the next pack.

4. It might, but most likely not.

5. You might.
