In India the Christian Marriage Act, 1872 allows marriage between a Christian & a non Christian & it will be legal & valid marriage. This type of marriage can take place in Church & not the Marriage officer/registrar as the marriage before the Marriage officer has to between two Christians & then only a valid marriage certificate can be issued with regard to such Christian marriage. The condition for obtaining a valid marriage certificate is that both the parties to marriage should be Christians by religion. Even a marriage between two Christians in the Church by the authorized Priest or Pastor can be registered under this Act by the Marriage officer/registrar & a valid marriage certificate will be issued with regard to this marriage, but a marriage between a Christian & non -Christian in the Church by the Priest or Pastor cannot be registered by the Marriage officer/registrar & no valid marriage certificate is issued although such marriage is legal & valid in the Act. An marriage between a Christian & non-Christian can be preformed under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 before the Marriage Officer/Registrar & a valid marriage certificate will be issued & so for getting such valid marriage certificate one should go through such marriage under this Special Marriage Act only or convert to Christian religion by Baptisment & then get a valid marriage certificate under that Christian Marriage Act.

It probably depends on the individual church.
Personally, I think you should be able to marry in a church.
I am a Christian .. and the Church is the House of God .. where people gather together to become Christians - and to fellowship together because God says to do this .. and also learn of God, the Bible, etc .. get forgiveness of their sins, etc.
My personal opinion is that the Church is here to save people .. not just for the already saved.
Who knows .. if you got married in the Church .. what seed might could possibly be planted by example for you.
You are a human being .. and a Christian is to be a witness for God .. and to witness for God to other people.

Depends on the Church, the type of Christian they are and how strict their specific church is.

Sure. Many churches have a ceremony of Christian blessing of a marriage. It brings religion into it, without the hyprocisy of you saying anything you don't believe in.

I can't see no problem with it, maybe go to the church and talk to the minister about it, he or she could probably be able to answer that question better than anyone.

I would suggest a civil ceremony. Church weddings are so hard to dissolve.

My wife is an atheist, but raised Episcopalian. I am catholic. As long as she went to the Cana Conference (a kind of pre-marriage counseling for catholics), it was fine

It kind of depends on whether you believe in God or not., and if you believe in Jesus Christ since that is pretty basic to a church wedding.
