The concept of Multiverses and Parallel Universes are not the same, and so far there are NO concrete theoretical or empirical evidence to support the existence of either.

Just to clarify - the concept of Parallel Universes or the Many-World interpretation of QM is an attempt to explain the "Wave-Function Collapse", which is what is required in QM for an event to occur. However, since there are no theoretical nor empirical reason for the wave function to collapse, the alternative explanation is that when an event occurs, or when a choice is made, there are many other worlds where every choice or every possible outcome is allowed to happen. So it may appear that in our world a particular choice has been made, in fact, all choices are made and allowed to exist.

I find this explanation to be no better than the "Wave-Function' Collapse interpretation, and it seems to create far more complexity than necessary. I don't personally believe this.

The concept of the Multiverse came from Superstring Theory when String Theorists discovered that String Theory doesn't actually produces ONE unique Universe, instead it produces a Cosmic Landscape, where there potentially exists a googlex of Universes, and each universe is just a tiny bubble floating in the foam of a vast ocean that is the Mulitverse.

I find the Multiverse concept to be very appealing, because it saids that every conceivable type of Universe does exist, and our Universe is NOT unique. There is no reason to assume that our Universe has to be the way it is. It just so happens that there are many many Universes, and there are bound to be Universes with laws of physics that is friendly to LIFE, and allows the existence of Intelligent and Sentient beings like ourselves.

First off, I believe lot of the events we have questions on make sense IF we allow for additional dimensions other than the 3 or 4 we live and have our being in. I had read long ago that 11 dimensions were both necessary and sufficient to explain all that was known then.

I, however, do believe in possibility universes, ones that potentially exist but are only realized by a sentient creature's conscious choices and actions.

I do not believe there are universes existing where I married Linda rather than Joyce, but because of my decision to marry Joyce, a particular Universe of all the potentials became the "real" one. Likewise for all of you.

I cant say that I dont believe in it, but what I do believe is that there's obviously something out there. BUT......God put us here on earth and that's where we need to stay. If he wanted us to visit outer space and live on mars or whatever, he would have put human life there. So these damn Nasa people need to quit with the christopher columbus missions. Now...... with that being said, if there is a chance of parallel universes or Multiverses existing (which may be true, cause you never know) , when the aliens get here, Im cuttin a deal. lol.

Whether you believe me or not, i thought multiverse theory before, i thought our universe is surface of a hypersphere, but this hypersphere is on a one more dimentional hypersphere much larger radious than our universe, that is why that more dimentional hypersphere on its surface may contain more universes than our universe, there may be too many such universes. But ithought carefully and in time i denied this theory of mine. Only difference is in multiverse theory i think bigger(more dimentional) universe flat, but in my theory, it is one more dimentional surface of a hypersphere. As you coulnd understand i dont believe in multiverse theory. Sorry for long answer.

I think it is a very interesting concept. The idea that there is a parallel universe which contains the outcome of every choice that you could possibly make is mind boggling. You can't blame people for not understanding-or lashing out because they don't.

I believe they exist. I believe for every one of us born here, theres another one born in that universe. We could look at this religously or svientifically. We will get very different answers though. So far there hasnt been any proof of a parallel universe NOT existing so we cant discard the idea. Anything is possible.

I don't know. I'm a rational thinker so just because a scientist says something is possible it doesn't necessarily mean it is. I'd like to believe parallel universes are real just as much I'd like to believe there's a Heaven and Hell.

The Universe is the totality of existence. There might be other dimensions but not other Universes.

It definitely makes sense to be possible.

I read this book, it's very interesting, you might like it. It's called The Holographic Universe. All sorts of relevant theories about the universe.

There are some exciting theories that advise that. nevertheless unknown nonetheless. Scientists at the instant are not deliberately attempting to disprove the existence of any gods. reliable scientists--and on the reducing fringe of cosmology you're able to be reliable--would not enable themselves get biased or push any agendas.
