What do I type for college prompts about why I want to go to their college?

I have 3 schools that I want to apply to that ask why I chose their school. Mainly know them for their reputation and just want a few pointers on what to put into the essay. Thanks

Colleges and Universities want to know that you have done your homework on their school. They want to know what is drawing you to their school. For example, if you were going for pediatric nursing, you should research that specific area of the school and then state facts about their program(s) specifically. It lets the school know that you are a serious candidate for their school and you won't be a waste of time.
I suggest you personalize each letter and make it specific for that college, otherwise one letter in general might not cover the things you need in the letter. You should also tell about yourself, why you are drawn to the programs you are applying for and why you truly wish to go to that school. If the answer is just to get away from home, then lie!!

If you are writing applications to three colleges, don't you have reasons why you chose those particular three schools out of a couple of thousand in the states? You are at a point where you had better depend on your brain power because it isn't going to be any easier as you progress. The competition isn't going to help you any. They are going to try to knock your block off.

I've had guidance counselors and admissions counselors tell me that the best thing to do is be honest and make yourself sound like a real person. Explain to them that you've always dreamed of going to their school because of the excellent academics or whatever you case may be. Make sure that you have it proof-read before you send it. Good luck!
