There are differences, mainly in the financial system (Islamic banking) wich do not apply interest rates on loans. And that is totally different from what is done in the west.
As per the sales pratcices, it is not that different form the US.
The most powerful and rich islamic countries are big economic allies of the US. And most of the managers are educated in US universities..
Good Luck !

Business practices typically differ due to cultural changes. There are actually several interesting books written on this subject. One of the interesting theories is that many Islamic businesses tend to work on a clientele system of business while more Western (US) nations tend to focus much more on legalistic practices. This means that islamic business it typically conducted face to face, is done mainly (at least politically) by verbal agreements, and it is much more of a you-help-me-I-help-you system. The US system is much more of a sign-here, dot-here, initial-here type system that has many legal hoops to jump through as well as many official practices.

They walk backwards and always quote "Thriller." It's really annoying.
