In some states, I believe her public support for his campaign will bring out people who had no motivation to act. It won't create any more support where he already has it, but it will convince others to think hard about the choices they have as voters.
Never underestimate the power of her influence. Oprah can bring out the best in people who never believed otherwise. And every vote is going to count this time around.

I love Oprah, but she is not God. She can't make me overlook the issues. I don't agree with Obama. He's charming, but he's too far to the left on the issues that are important to me. I don't care who supports him. I have a mind of my own and I'm going to use it. Hollywood and the entertainment industry in general have always leaned to the left. Why should Oprah following suit be a big deal one way or the other?

I think Oprah's support for Obama is making him look like a big schmuck. Oprah is watched by primarily women, and contrary to what Oprah and Obama apparently think, women can think for themselves and don't need any assistance or guidance from anyone else. Oprah needs to go back to her school in South Africa where she is actually doing some good in the world. They need her, and we got over her a long time ago.

No, I don't think Oprah's support will make a difference. A lot of people are not happy with her. She can spend 40 million on a School in Africa, when there are a lot of children here in our Country that need the same thing. Among other things that she has done.

We'll soon find out. I was watching yet another pundit show where they were talking to some people from Iowa about it. The consensus among them seemed to be that they wanted a chance to go see Oprah, but they would make up their own minds about their vote thank you. The people in Iowa have seen more than one dog and pony show during Presidential elections since their state is so important. Most of them seem pretty proud of the weight their vote carries. My instinct is that they don't rely on celebrities to make up their minds for them.

Hopefully we don't vote for our presidents according to who may support them but according to how they will support the people of this United States of America. So, my answer is No. Not to take sides, but Oprah can do whatever she likes with her money. After all, it is her money.
