yeah loads of times growing up, one that sticks to mind was when playing on the docks as a kid,and this big lad said to me,"hey fozz look at this jelly fish," i stupidly went to the edge all excited, and while looking over he pushed me in and ran off, still diddnt see a jelly fish though lol

I spent a lot of my early years with my gran who was wisened up to nearly every trick in the book almost
nothing i could say or do would happen without a 101 pitfalls of sermon ,a full on lecture about whatever it was i was doing or going to do first,in her mind and in her own way she was forewarning me of "badness in the world"so i wouldn't come a cropper and be left standing there high and dry
as much as we were reluctant to tell her anything because of the "warning you now" lectures, unfortunately she was more often right about these things than she was mistaken
which doesn't really say much for fellow humankind really
but we never told her she was correct it would have sent her into overdrive~lol
The answer to your Q is :NO i have never been tricked thanks to my grans cynicism and general untrust of everything outside the immediate family, which has in its best part rubbed off on me.
