The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is my faverite breed! They are so smart and fun and they have awesome personality! My Dog is a Corgi and He understands about 50+ english words just by overhearing them in conversation. He can play vollyball with a beachball like a seal. He knows 25 tricks and he is the best dog I've ever owned!

The best dogs that we have ever had have been shelter rescue mixes. My wife has done behavioural testing before so we always choose on temperment.
If you were asking for a breed type it would be the whippet or greyhound type. Indoor couch potatoes, outside active. Sweet, gentle temperments. Aestetically, they look like a dog should look.

Bull Terriers!
After living with them for 17 years I have yet to meet another breed of dog that is anything like them...not just in looks but in facial expressions and personality. To be such a tough dog they are amazingly sensitive and tuned into the world around them. They have a sense of humor about them and I swear that thye can take a joke! It is like living with a silent comedian with a heart of gold.

My favorite dog is the Shih Tzu. They are small, silken-haired dogs with open, eager eyes and they hold their tails proudly over their backs. They are sweet, loyal and they like to play. They don't need to go for long walks but they need lots of grooming attention. It's worth it to make them look good to you and make them feel good too! They love grooming usually.
Also, the Shih Tzu originated in Tibet which is interesting to me because I am studying to become a Tibetan Buddhist.

My English Bulldog was so adorable as a bullbaby. Now Gabby is 55 lbs. Personality has been pooring out of this dog since we got her. I'm sticking to this breed, I love em!

To answer your question, it is difficult to choose between Lassie and Rin Tin Tin.
I do like collies and German Shephards; basically any of the old type of dogs, not the made up toy dogs.

Alaskan Malamute!!
I have one that is 14 yrs and he is so smart and well behaved without training, he doesn't jump on people and he is fun to play ball or fetch with. He is so gentle with kids, will protect the family and home and is never aggressive. You will not need a leash as he will walk by your side and never wander away from you, snap your fingers and point to what you want him to do and he does it without training! They are smart beyond belief! and they don't want to get on the furniture and do not dig! I love him so much, he is such a wonderful animal!

I actually have several. But the one that keeps me entertained right now is a Boston Terrier. She is smart and will entertain herself for hours.
She is almost 3 yrs old and she is a brindle and white. Most Boston Terriers are black and white.
She loves to play with this little frog, that we got her from Wendy's. Or she will play with the little stuffed tator tot from Sonic. She is deffinately a nut.
