have i not done my job,oh my where is this comment box oh wise one.I read all my emails,i answer as many as i can or star to let them know i read them and acknowledged the interesting Q they posted.Then when the time comes i thumbs up all i want to and then choose.advise me.cheers :)

I check, because:
1 You can add a funny bit to your answer.
2 Shows the person that you're interested.
3 You can also straighten-out any misunderstandings which happen because we're only reading print and not seeing the twinkle in the eye of the other person.
4 I'm vain, also a nosey parker to boot.

I thought you HAD to leave a comment when picking best answer?? When I GET a best answer I always read the comment that the person wrote about my answer. I have noticed some people leave "." for a comment though.

I don't sometimes because when you ask as many questions as I do, you run out of responses without sounding repetitive or insincere. Same problem if you are sending out 250 Christmas cards.
