I have an older camera phone that no longer has service but it has several photos I'd like to transfer to my computer. If I had service i could just email them to myself, but I dont have service anymore. Is there a cable i can hook up between the phone and computer's usb port? The phone is an Audiovox brand and computer uses vista home premium.

You can go somewhere like radio shack and see if they have a usb that supports your phone.

The only chance you have of cellphone to PC picture transfer is if the phone has a USB port that with a cable, can connect directly to the PC.

Otherwise, there's no other way--unless you re-establish cellphone service....and even that is questionable.

Get a USB cable from a service store or send a message with the pic to your email.

You must have received a data cable while buying your mobile phone. You can use that to connect your phone to your computer and transfer the photos. Else you may purchase a Bluetooth dongle for your computer and transfer photos via Bluetooth (if the mobile phone has Bluetooth facility).

you can either email the picture to yourself from your phone, or you can buy a usb cable that's compatible with your specific phone model and connect it to your computer. your local phone carrier store should carry the usb cable.

look up the phone model and see if there is a usb cable for it, and if you cant still open the external device(your cell phone) look also for sync software for that device.

Try installing a motorola pc suite, though not always required.Secondly, try using bluetooth on your phone and that is if your laptop is bluetooth enabled it shoul be able to work,Thirdly, try changing the cable it may be faulty....... best wishes
