she pretty much knackered the miners union. sold off council housing, privatised nearly all the utilities and transport infrastructure.

That is a matter of opinion. She was very Right Wing. Some argue that she take free milk from school Children and shut most of the primary and secondary business down in favour of banking. Others say she was an impressive first female prime minister with long working hours and a science degree also that she gained respect from the soviet union for being strong willed.

She cut back the defence forces so that Argentina felt safe to invade the Falkland Islands then wasted thousands of lives in getting them back
