does most of canadians gets circumsized? i am really confused,

i used to live in simcoe county area and my freind at simcoe county told me that 90% of canadians are circumsized and gets circumsized,,, but,, my friend in oakville(near gta area) told me that barelly anybody is circumcized in this country??

It depends on the region of Canada. In general, circumcision was once fairly common across most of Canada. Today, less than about 50% of the guys living in Canada are circumcised, but very few babies born in Canada today are circumcised (the rate is less than 10% overall). So as the older generations die out, there will be fewer and fewer circumcised men in Canada.

About 45% of ADULT Canadian men have had this done to them, as it was quite popular in the mid-20th Century. The rate has fallen off sharply, and now the rate for infants is under 10%, many of those being Muslims and Jews whose parents have it done for religious reasons. Your friend is just plain wrong!

Most aren't. I think a lot of older men are, obviously Muslims and Jews are, probably people from the US, but younger men aren't, and the rates currently for babies are very low, something like 10% of babies are circumcised, so 90% NOT circumcised. Also it does depend on area, not sure for the stats of yours. your friend sounds silly.

Harriet lives in Australia! What does she know about the circ rate of Canada! I really it depnds on the province. BS being high and Motreal being very low and the rest in between! Generally speak the higher educated people usually circumcise and the less educated that can't afford it won't!

The majority are not. America, Israel, The Phillipines, Africa and Muslims nations are the only places where it is prevalent.
