My old comp broke down, so I'm replacing it with my brother's comp (both fairly new, bought within the last 3 years), and I was wondering if I could set my SATA HD as a slave HD to his ATA HD, is this possible at all?

oh yes it is possible.. just switch the clip in the back as a slave and plug in the sata HD in the computer. The computer should have Sata connections.. and after you plug it in the computer should recognize it as another HD and you should have all your things you saved on that HD..

i'm sure you could.. but the cables are all wrong so you'll have to search something like ebay for a converter or something like that.. if they make those i'm sure they're less than $10..

i know they make sata to ide (ata) but i don't know about otherwise.

to do that, you have to tell the bios that the sata drive is the slave drive. by default on some MB, the sata is the master.
