I have a ipod and everytime i connect it to my computuer it says unknow device and I cant charge it or add songs and all my other usbs i cant plug into the computer. I have tried alot of diffrent things to try to fix the problem but it doesnt work for the computer to make the usb device known.

corrupt firmware on the ipod, its to complex for me 2 explain and im just to lazy, but ill tell u n d ways,
1) download ipod wizard v1.3
2)plug in youre ipod
3)download new firmware fomr internet (search it in google)
4) mount youre ipod using ipod wiz
5) open the updater
6)apply new firmware
7) unlpug and restart ipod
hopefully that does it
if it doesent search usb driver on google.ca

if other usbs dont work then it is the usb hub itself

if it is on the front of your computer make sure it is plugged into the motherboard correctly(use your motherboard manual if necessary)

if its in the back of your computer right next to all the sound devices and cables then the motherboard has a problem

sounds like something is wrong with your ipod itself or possibly the software that runs the ipod on your computer. try calling the help line for apple or going down to the nearest apple store. sorry i can't be of more help.

goto control panel > system > device hardware. and find anything dealing with ur ipod and delete it. then go into safe mode and do the same thing. restart the puter and connect ur ipod.
