If you're going to be making/editing movies, I'd recommend the Mac, since Final Cut Studio and Final Cut Express only run on Mac, and they're the best programs for movie editing.

if you think you play games Vista is the way to go. Until game makers make more games for the MAC your game choice is very limited.
I do no know what is the choice you have with that vista machine but a MAC mini will not be powerful enough to play any modern games back graphic card....
Also think about your budget. You usually get less for the money with a MAC and more on the phyical look and style of a MAC. HP also gives you some room for upgrade later while MAC mini you will not able to do much.
Beside the gaming you might have issue, Mac or Vista are fine IMHO
