well lets break this up logically

2500 KM

= 2, 500,000 meters

=250,000,000 cm

OK so 2500 KM = 250,000,000 cm so if there are two hundered and fifty million centimeters and the scale is 1 to
one hundred million, then 2.5 centimeters on the map will equal your 2500 km in real life

2500 km x 1000 = 2 500 000 m x 100 = 250 000 000 cm

1/100 000 000 = x / 250 000 000
x = 2.5 cm
