Factor out the 3 to give 3(4x^2 -x -3) = 0 (if it's an equation).
Then by trial and error, 3(4x + 3)(x - 1) = 0.
Then x = -3/4 or x = +1 to solve.
(If it's not an equation, then just 3(4x + 3)(x - 1) is the answer).

Factor out the 3 so you have 4x^2 - x - 3 and go from there.
