I need help with my dedication to the sport. Last year i was cut from my Highschool basketball team, and i thought i should take the year off from basketball to focus on the books. Unfortunetaly as the summer came, i realized my love for the game was a little less. My skill was out of place, my speed insconsitent. Just a mess.

I was just cut from my highschool team again this year (not suprised =( ), and right now i'm trying to improve speed with Winter Track.

I don't want to make the same mistake as last year.
I need to know how to love the Basketball again

Do you really love basketball? I'm sure you've heard before, but Michael Jordan was cut from his freshman basketball team. I played basketball for 13 years (including college) and I can't say I ever lost my passion for basetkball but suicides and plyometrics will surely make it lose it's luster. Figure out why you love basketball. Is it the competition? The friends? Or just the sport itself? It should never feel like a job, it should be fun. Keep working hard, practice does make perfect. If possible, go to your coach and ask what you can do to improve your game. Check out some camps and work on your shot!

you shouldn't feel bad about it! you just gotta work on your game and if you can work hard enough, i'm sure you'll do fine. playing with people who are better than you really helps out because you can learn how to play the game from them. good luck!

No one can teach you to love the game, it comes from within.
