Hi.

One of my bedrooms was divided in half by a piece of wood (like a baseboard but in the center of the wall). I was going to repaint the room and removed the piece of wood. I didn't plan on putting the boards back, but will if I have to.

When I removed the boards, some of the old paint came off with it, so when I repainted the surface of the wall is very uneven. Is there something I can do to fix this or do I just put the boards back on?

Thanks!

Go to Wal-Mart or Home Depot and by some spackle. It's a creamy substance that you spread over the uneven spots... let dry then sand to even the area with the rest of the wall. It's very inexpensive and you can paint right over it. It's also great for nail holes or any imperfections in your walls. Good luck!

hi, the product is called ONE TIME and it is applied with a 6inch drywall knife. be sure and scrape away any loose or hardened paint that is on the area first.then spread the ONE TIME out ,pushing on the knife just hard enough so that it spreads smoothly and evenly. when completely dry sand or with wet sponge go over the edge lightly to remove any excess lines.you must prime this new area before applying color coat of paint.good luck

Give the 10 to Tiffany. What the spackle will do; if applied and sanded properly will allow a fill, and feathering, then a prime over; then finish coat allowing the "peel" edge to vanish.
