i saw it yesterday on nickolodean and it said it was a premeire but it was really old so i was wondering did they ever show it on nick before or was it in the theatere??? and were else have they showed it on?

It is 10 years old...been seen all over, and on video.
Here's a fun fact for you if you watch it again: When Otis discovers Ed and Dexter in the asylum, Abe Vigoda can be seen mouthing along several lines of dialogue.

It first came out in like, 1998. It was only on Nick. They haven't showed it since, that's why it's a premiere. Nine Years Later....get my point?

it was a premiere for television broadcast because it came out in the cinemas years ago and it never made it to tv (except for the skits on all that where it originated from) I remember because when i was little i always wanted to see it and i never got to =(
