I suppose so because loving is the only way to get to that person who will love you forever. And besides experience helps you avoid the mistakes you made later... well, at least that is the hope. If you are afraid of losing, of getting hurt, then you may just miss out on experiencing love.

It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all! I would rather live with the memory that someone who was wonderful enough to get a space in my heart called love, than to have never met that person who may have somehow changed my life in more ways than anyone will ever be able to tell!

Yes. In all it's glory and pain, love is worth every second while you have it, and the horrendous pain that follows the loss.

If you have lost all hope in life than no. Love requires hope and a desire for the next day. Love requires a trust that loosing them is not a option. Love for yourself keeps you sane if it does happen.
