why are we going to war in iran?

Probably no time soon- if ever. Going to "War"- takes many months to arrange... And with the Bush presidency drawing to a close, it is VERY UNLIKELY there will be any military conflicts of ANY KIND before the first Autumn of the next President's term (& THAT would be the Fall of 2009). And aLOT can change between now & then... :)

..Based on the recent CIA report that Iran is not enriching plutonium for nuke weaponery, that I believe is the the Bush admin way they could save face and not look weak, instead of coming outright and saying we cannot afford/and or have the manpower to take on Iran. which is a smart decision, because our Military is stretched thin around the world we would have a hell of a time in a ground war with Iran.

I hope not. And it's not the Iranian people the USA are targeting. It's their President. It's always the leaders of a country that wages war, not the innocent people. The world needs peace, not war. I hope the two leaders can work out theirt differences without bloodshed.

I hope never. It would completely destroy the US economy, and the US doesn't need to invade another sovereign nation.
