I am doing a project on the Beatles and I want to include the number of LPs they released. But I'm curious, is "Magical Mystery Tour" considered an LP the way, say, "Abbey Road" and "Revolver" are? Or is it an EP?

If you are referring to the original Beatles catalogue, in other words Parlaphone British releases it is an EP only...However the album was released as an LP in North America with added songs...Original songs for the TV film were...Hello Goodbye, I am the walrus, Blue Jay way, Flying, Fool on the hill, Your mother should know...the rest from the North American LP are fill ins...so in it's true form, Magical Mystery should not be considered an LP

yes it is an LP, which stands for "long play", thats how all the songs were back then on records, either on lps (331/3) or 45's, in the 60's & early 70's anyway, there were some on 78's before that time.
