No, the first year isn't easy. You're surrounded by smart people, in some of the most challenging classes you have ever been in, and the hardest part is that you don't have any idea how you're doing until exams.
That said, don't shy away from law school because it's hard. If you want to be an attorney, you're going to have to get used to hard work. Read Scott Turow's first book, One L, which is his account of his first year at Harvard Law School. Based on my experience, and that of the other attorneys I've discussed it with, nobody's first year is THAT bad anymore.

Absolutely not. For most people, the first year of Law School is the most difficult, as it not only involves a transition to a much greater workload, but a shift in a way of thinking and writing.

your asking this because your probably nervous and riled up about making it this far... do not be just know that you are ready to tackle this challenge and that you are as competent or better then everyone else around you
