my dad gave me and my brother an himself matching rat tails when were little!! ahh!! i never thought about it back then, now they are scary.

I own rats and I think their tails are cute as in a cute little animal way and I like to pet them, but if you mean hot with a sexual connotation, no, that's weird.
Ok, after reading a couple other answers, I now know you mean a little flap of hair off the back of your head. My answer is still no.

Yes! I had a 'tail when I was about 9. I let my hair grow to the point, that by the time I had it cut off, it was about 7 inches long!
Have in mind, that I am 32 now, so that was a long time ago!!

No i never had one myself , however i did give one 2 my nephew, and dated many males with them and still know a few folks with them. Its all good.
4 those who r confused- rat tail is that long piece of hair that was either the same or different color,longer than the rest of ur hair on ur head and was usually in the back middle nape of ur head.

OMG! I totally remember rat tails. And yes I was one of the girls that thought they were hot/cute. Sigh...those were the days. But then again at one point I thought parachutte pants were cool too. LOL...

omg, why would anyone, besides a freak think that a rat tail was "hot"!!!??? lol but no, I have never had one, where would you buy something like that? Or do you just trap them and then cut their tails off? lol weird

never and no way. one of my buddies in 7th grade had one and it's the annoying little brother of the mullet, only the mullet got all the ladies in school in the 80's while the rat tail got in the way and had to stay at home.

I remember thinking guys with rat tails were hot. It's funny now, especially when you occasionally run across the guy who still has one. I live in Ohio, trust me, they still exist.

NO!!! never!!! my uncle (who is only one year older than me) had a rat tail then he had a mullet then he FINALLY cut it and it was the ugliest thing in the world .... yuck even thinking about it makes me quiver
