Feel free to list anyone who actually made that promise, and to quote the promise of successful impeachment. Then follow with some sort of statistical evidence that this sole issue was a deciding factor.

I certainly would like to have seen that happen, but pretty much every Dem was too much of a wimp to make any kind of promises or commitments to that effect.

As a matter of fact, Pelosi always said that impeachment was "off the table" if she would become Speaker, and only the House has the power to impeach.

Actually, my understanding is the Dems made it clear that they WEREN'T going to impeach--I think Kucinich is one of the few Dems with an ounce of courageto want to impeach the guy.
