Because most of these cruel people have religion in their lives and the christian right preach hatred of all things that do not fit into their small world. The same can be said about any fundamentalist religious group.They are unable to see that most people have little to no choice in their sexuality except maybe the bi sexuals.
Does their mean behaviour give them a sense of being a better person or superior to others? Who knows, all I can say is that being gay, lesbian, bi sexual and trans gender will make most individuals have a good look at themselves and prioritise what would give them the happiest and most full filling life experience, that being, giving and receiving LOVE.

When you open yourself up to a public forum you are bound to get all kinds of feedback and unfortunately when people are behind a screen and not in your face they get to be a bit more vicious. Sad but true we all can say we have become a bit more desensitized to others in this generation.

People are mean because they don't understand homo/bisexuals. They could be jealous that they are limited to the opposite sex and wonder why they were not blessed with the same thoughts/feelings as gays/lesbians and bisexuals.

THEY DEMONSTRATE WHAT THEY ARE NOT IN REALITY...MAYBE THEY ARE WEAK OR HAVE BEEN PICKED ON BEFORE AND THIS IS THEIR SPACE TO LET IT ALL OUT....STRESS FREE AREA FOR THEM....WE ALL DO LET OUT OUR STRESS HERE BUT NOT IN THE SAME WAY....JUST DON"T TAKE IT PERSONALLY
