Its not the US, its those who run the US.. and in my opinion its more than oil. its owning land. bomb the city, rebuild the city, thus im forever making money in this city.. where oil lives.... thats the way its been done here... colonize, destroy natives land, rebuild..make money where all these resources lie in this " New World" aka The United States.. but the U.S. as a whole doesnt stand to gain a thing from Iraq but resentment

I am a military brat so I am VERY well aware about what our troops are doing risking their lives. I respect that. But lets look at Iraq a bit closer. This country has been fighting since day one. There were never any weapons of mass destruction. We proudly claim war after 9/11 to get the man for this madness.. Bin Laden... but got Suddam...(the man Bush senior wasnt able to get during his office). Whatever happen to getting Bin Laden?? Video feeds but you cant track him?? The U.S., who has the most powerful military force in the entire world???????? The U.S. government is trying to play the hero role in another situation that wasnt OURS to being with. And in return thats why other countries call America a bully. They have been getting bombed from the U.S. before this war. I mean, isnt ironic that the U.S. is the only country to not have a geography requirement through a child's 12 years of education (how many of us can call out all of the States capitals??Or Europe's?? )? The U.S. is the only country in the world to NOT have International CNN on our program listings? There are things that other groups of authority do not want us to know. I'm not trying to say conspiracy but lets be real people..There is a reason why we are there and it was never about regulating Iraqi government...

What does the US have to gain?
Well mostly it is, how much can the US avoid losing by fighting in Iraq.
Iraq was, under Saddam, a classic terrorist state, terrorizing its own and supporting international terrorists. The US hopes to cut down on terrorist attacks against the US and allies by fighting the war in Iraq. Establishing a democracy in Iraq, even a flawed democracy, will provide us with a Muslim ally in the Middle East. This will help to increase the chances that the US won't be taken over by Islamists.
If you think that could never happen, look at what is happening in Europe. The Islamists haven't taken over Europe yet, but they are working on it.

if US troops pull out now without establishing a strong government with strong security we leave a gate open for another country that could/will take over Iraq. Like Cuba for example, we pull out and Fidel just cleans out the Iraqis and now he has another country to assemble troops. Get the picture?

We have gotten rid of Sudan Hussein. He and his sons were murdering the people of Iraq. Iraq is in better shape now then they were then. Their government is getting established for their people also. They can get back on their feet.

In my observations , We are not wanted there so should we leave and let them fight it out ? I think so. nothing to gain . If america cared about it's own people that are in poverty as much as it cares about Iraqui's maybe we wouldent have so many americans homeless living on the streets .
