The giants blew on not getting Miguel Cabrera and/or Andruw Jones. What other trades/free agents signigns can they make to bring in a big bat?

The Giants are currently in talks with the Yankees to get Hideki Matsui for Noah Lowry. That's all that I know of right now.

Supposedly the Matsui for Lowry thing is getting some air time. I'm not sure if Lincecum is still warm or not. I did hear that they want to use Pedro Feliz as trade bait though, so who knows what they will do.
All I know is that I feel for Giants fans everywhere because of McGowan and Sabean destroying that team on a regular basis. It's a shame to see that team where they are now, after being only a game away from a WS trophy in '02.

Aaron Rowand, Kosuke Fukodome and Mike Cameron are still out there as far as free agents are concerned and the Giants are still somewhat interested. Since they have the cash available now that Bonds is gone, they should really look towards signing one of these three guy. Any one of them could help them. Plus, signing a free agent means they wouldn't have to give up one of their prime young pitchers.

the giants are sad... i hate to say it but they have been known to get rid of their team for has been players
it looks like they are going to do the same... they should have got rid of feliz A LONG TIME AGO, but they kept him
they should have gone after vlad but the let that one get away...
it doesnt look like they are going to do anything good this season... dont look for any kind of winning season in 2008
