What are some famous sites or places Ukraine is known for? Or its place in society? I am doing a short project on its country related to the themes of geography, and wanted to know if there are specific information on what the country's in known for.

Ukraine is my native country. Amazingly beautiful, ancient (Kiev, its capital, is more than 1500 years old, and it is not the oldest city in the country), with richest history, culture and traditions.

There is one of the largest collections of ancient churches in the Ukraine. Ukrainian language is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. The Crimea (at the Black Sea) is a unique recreational area, one of a kind. Svyatogorsk (near my native city of Donetsk) is known as Little Switzerland.

Geographically, the things Ukraine is most know for are the "black earth" of central Ukraine (the "breadbasket of Russia"), the coal mines of Eastern Ukraine, and the sea ports of the Crimean coast.
Other mineral resources include iron ore, manganese, natural gas, oil, salt, sulfur, graphite, titanium, magnesium, kaolin, nickel, mercury, timber, and arable land.
