Hard to say. It's not just Republicans who are smart and able to face reality, but that certainly is one of their strong suits. Liberal Democrats for the most part seem to exist in some kind of dream world where everything is perfect, and that there's no problem that tons of money can't fix.

1. I am an atheist, but I accept evolution as a scientific theory that has not become scientific law yet. Thus, science can give solid evidence for evolution, but cannot prove it without doubt. 2. At least the scientist can admit that he/she/they cannot prove evolution 100% completely. I am waiting for a monotheist to admit that they cannot prove God exists completely. Afterall, the invisible and the non existant look exactly the same. 3. Not all atheists are totally knowledgable on evolution, and some (like me) do not even care to be. I am not concerned about what man looked like say 20,000 years ago, I am more concerned with being a great husband, and a great dad to my 4 kids, and working hard at work, paying the bills. These things are much more applicable to my life than the silent do nothing invisible god. 4. I do not know of any groups, but I think all people can acknowledge that Darwin's theory is still a scientific theory, and not a scientific law. So since science cannot prove or disprove it, I do not think there is any group out there that can. Most peoples evidence is "faith" which is not evidence for the existance of God, much less grounds for disbeleif in evolution...

must be that denial of science with regards to gravity and global warming.
or perhaps it's that reality grounded 'abstinence only' policy that they love - which doesn't work.
or perhaps it's that abortion issue that they love to preach to the rest of us about, while doing nothing concrete to actually reduce unwanted pregnancies.
or perhaps it's the positive GLEE with which republicans RUSHED america to an unnecessary war in iraq, who by the way, had nothing whatever to do with the 9/11 attacks.
or maybe it's the way they will insist that the economy is doing great while in reality our dollar is plunging and our international debt is so bad that our nation is literally becoming the property of foreigners.
or maybe it's the 'reality' based ideology that prevents a national healthcare program - something that would make american industry more competetive.
frankly, if this is what insane radical republicans call reality, count me out.

A hard time understanding what? Are you saying only those that tow the Republican partlyine are the only ones that possess intelligence. If this is it then you've just contradicted yourself. Such a statement would be, could be considered unintelligent.
Many of us believe in God and therefore would never consider voting Republican.
Ignorance and want is the doom of mankind.

A Republican accepts his or her own reality... not the world's reality.

They're not. They, like the democrats refuse to see that both parties are working in conjuction with the new world order cabal to move us into a corporate totalitarian system. Funny how we keep switching back and forth but nothing gets better...bush, clinton,bush,clinton....hmmmmm?

Smart as a parrot can be. They repeat everything they hear and they all think alike and you know how that goes, if everyone thinks alike nobody is really thinking. Well, maybe you don't know that you sound like a republican.

The GOP'ers deal with FACTS and things the way they are and try to make them better...we don't always succeed.
The Dems live in fantasy land and see things as a utopia where everyone will do the right thing....no one would be lazy and everyone does their best.......nice thought...BUT NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN
IT is sad but many honestly believe that if we just went ...unnegoatiated...and dismantled our Nukes the world would follow.....
Realists KNOW FROM FACTS that we would be the subject of Nuke Blackmail and forced to surrender....But that's the lib Motto...SURRENDER AT ALL COSTS
