Hey everyone We believe that i am quite a bit further along than what the dr's have said! They were going by the period where i was 12 days late even though i expressed to them that i am never late i am always regular! I Had a normal period in march that started on the 7th! THen in april i was 12 days late and had a very brief light period. In may i had no period at all and discovered i was pregnant! Ive been put off of work because of alot of menstrual cramping and contractions and so on but it hasnt affected my cervix yet or at the last appointment it hadnt! THey are saying that as of right now im only 33 weeks but my stomach has dropped alot and everything i was carrying her really high! I strongly believe that they shoudl have went by my last normal period and that would put me due anytime really soon in december rather than late january! Im just frustrated and want a better idea of when im due and everything please help any answers or advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you KT

There's no correct date as far as the deliverly date...The doctors just provide an estimated due date based on the information you give them..the last day of your period...Then you have to consider the day fertilization actually took place...and so on.
The ultra sound should be able to give a better date based on the baby's growth/size..unless it's just a big baby!

Was your second period Normal, even though it was late I mean how long did it last. If you are going by March 7th as first day of last menstrual period you would be 39 weeks and due around December 12th. What due date did they give you? And why havent your ultrasounds given you a date? Those are the best to go by because of the size of baby and all. Let me know ~Amber

That would make you do Dec. 21 I think. If you go into labor before your due date ask the doctor not to stop your labor. The baby will com when he is ready. Good Luck :)

Your baby is going to come when it is ready. Being that your period was light in april, you could have been pregnant then. My doctor told me that sometimes that light spotting could be from the egg implanting in the uterus. Just go ahead and prepare yourself because you never know. Either your baby is going to come when he/she is ready. Good Luck.

your doctor should have confirmed your due date with an ultra sound! some women have a period when they are pregnant that is why when you are unsure of your LMP or your due date, they do an ultra sound, the size of the baby will help the doctor determine when you conceived and when you are due.Best of luck your baby will come when he/she is ready!

The due date can be figured out by the doctor. Ask them.

My doctor said it was the date of the last normal period plus three months minus a week.

I think maybe go for a second opinion.Sometimes doctors can be wrong.
