I decided to look further into Obama's background. His full name--as by now you have probably heard--is Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. Hussein is a Muslim name, which comes from the name of Ali's son--Hussein Ibn Ali. And Obama is named after his late Kenyan father, the late Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., apparently a Muslim.

And while Obama may not identify as a Muslim, that's not how the Arab and Muslim Streets see it. In Arab culture and under Islamic law, if your father is a Muslim, so are you. And once a Muslim, always a Muslim. You cannot go back. In Islamic eyes, Obama is certainly a Muslim. He may think he's a Christian, but they do not.

So, even if he identifies strongly as a Christian, and even if he despised the behavior of his father (as Obama said on Oprah); is a man who Muslims think is a Muslim, who feels some sort of psychological need to prove himself to his absent Muslim father, and who is now moving in the direction of his father's heritage, a man we want as President when we are fighting the war of our lives against Islam? Where will his loyalties be?

Is that even the man we'd want to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency, if Hillary Clinton offers him the Vice Presidential candidacy on her ticket (which he certainly wouldn't turn down)?

NO WAY, JOSE . . . Or, is that, HUSSEIN?

BTW, notice how Obama's father abandoned him and his mother when he was just a kid (he used Islam's Sharia Law and its tenets about divorce), yet he feels compelled to follow his father's roots while totally neglecting his white mother's heritage and religion. His mother was responsible for who he is today, yet not a peep about her. Not a peep from the LIBERAL media, neither. What a typical, LIBERAL piece of **** he is!

BTW, check out his voting record in the U.S. Senate. The ADA rated him to the left of Kennedy and Hillary. Yet, the media makes no mention of this.

Barack is a Christian. But even if he WERE Muslim, that'd be no biggie, since millions of American Muslims are patriotic Americans. And -- liberal? Great! That's a very GOOD thing!! Beats hell out of being a control-freakish RRR cultist and/or neocon!

If I weren't already about to vote for Hillary in the IOWA Caucuses, Obama would be my next choice. I'd be PROUD to support either one of them!

This is getting more and more pathetic. This pack of lies has been ridiculed. Now it seems because they are out there anyway, even if they were lies, they must be heeded.
I personally do not care what "muslims" think about Obama (and I do not believe you are in any position to tell us what 1 billion muslims think). I care about what Obama offers as president.
His father was not a practicing muslim (and so no more used concepts of Sharia law than Newt Gingrich or Rudy Guiliani did when they abandoned thier families).
He does not "think" he is a Christian - he decides he is. Not you, not muslims, not anyone have any right to question that.
What evidence do you have of any psychological need preventing Obama from serving well. That is something you just made up. When you have nothing better on a candidate (and it is clear you do not) just smear him.
As for where his loyalties will be - the voters of the USA. In 12 years of public service nobody can present any reason to doubt his service to the voters who elected him.
He does not follow his father's heritage. He is not following him to Kenya. He associates with African Americans (which his father never was) and with Americans in general.
And I think it is well known he is a liberal - and I do not believe the media have ever tried to cover up anything about that. If you previously did not know where he stands then blame your own ignorance - not the media.
So is he the man we want as president - absolutely.

I'm not sure where you get your information from but you cannot believe everything you read. My major in college at ASU was Religious Studies and Philosophy as a minor.
In any of my studies on Islam, did I ever run across the "once a Muslim, always a Muslim" theory.

If you bothered to do further research on Obama, he was baptized into the Christian church, specifically The Trinity United Church of Christ. Oprah Winfrey attends the same church, and they have known each other for years.
And, you can tell by his example and behavior that he is a Christian.

You may not have a clear idea of what a Christian is, I don't know.

And as far as him dissing his mother, she was a Christian. So, where did you get this information?
Also, if you would have read his book. "The Audacity of Hope", you would have gotten a full explanation of his religious beliefs in it.

I am not a supporter of Obama at the present time. But people who know nothing about religion and read this stuff off websites should bother to do some research first.

What he is, he is but anyone that won't wear the American Flag or put their hand over their heart (and also not speak the pledge) is, in my opinion a traitor to my Country. How this Jerk ever got elected to Congress is beyond my comprehension. If he is a "Sleeper Muslim" and gets elected, we are in serious trouble. CAN A MUSLIM BE A MUSLIM-AMERICAN? With the stark reality of these facts, why in the world are Americans voting Muslims into office?... Seeing the Muslim sworn into the US Congress recently, brought this article to mind. What do you think? I think this pretty much sums up this question!!!!!! We are living in the twenty first century version of the "Crusades" Have you ever thought -- Is Muslim-American really an oxymoron? Can a devout Muslim be an American patriot and a loyal citizen? I forwarded that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his forwarded reply: "Theologically, no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia. Religiously, no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256) Scripturally, no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran. Geographically, no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day. Socially, no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews. Politically, no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America, the great Satan. Domestically, no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34). Intellectually, no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt. Philosophically, no. Because Islam, Mohammed, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or Autocratic. Spiritually, no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in the Quran's 99 excellent names." Therefore after much study and deliberation.... perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish....it's still the truth. If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above statements, perhaps you will share this with your friends. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The religious war is bigger and more complex than most Americans currently know or understand. A Muslim cannot be an American. Their Quran prohibits it.

First off, if you are basing any of this from something you read in one of those viral emails, don't waste your time. If one came around saying the sky was blue, I'd be sure and check out the window first before believing it.

I cannot speak to any of Mr. Obama's political views or aspirations, but from the faith standpoint, its a matter of who you ask.

Under Muslim tradition, you are correct. You are considered Muslim if your father is Muslim. The Muslims however feel so strongly about people converting to other faiths, that it is considered punishable by death to proclaim another faith (and in current times, most especially claiming to be a Christian!)

Christianity however, whether you are Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, or any of the sundry Protestant faiths, is a faith of converts. Even if you are born into a Christian home, you are not considered Christian until you make the choice in your own life to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Whether you do this by completing your Catechism, receiving your Confirmation, or "being saved", you are the one making the choice of which faith to follow, not your family legacy.

So, long answer short: If Barack Obama claims Christianity as his faith, and does so publicly, then he is a Christian.

YES! Baracka Hussein Obama,Jr., is now a closet Muslim, having rejected the Islamic faith and now claiming to be a Christian for the benefit of political expediency. Under Sharia (Muslim religious law) Hussein is now an apostate of the Muslim faith, which is punishable by death. Hussein Obama has lied re "he kept no records when he was in the Illinois state legislature for 8 years", and then states he can't remember where or when the records disappeared. The other candidates have been able to produce records, but not Hussein, who can't remember !!!!! Hussein's loyalty is highly questionable, and his most dishonorable act was the disgracing and rejection of our American flag on two public occasions, which make him unfit for the office he is seeking, and also the office which he currently occupies.

Obama is an American citizen. He is not bound by Muslim Laws. I am surprised you would be quoting Muslim laws for an American citizen. Should we be listening to Muslims now? How many do you know? Muslims hate Americans and say awful things about us. I certainly trust Obama a whole lot more than I trust Cheney and Bush.
Please give your source besides the lying fox news, for Obama going to a Muslim school.

You are an idiot, and your private message to me only proves it.

I am the last person who would vote a Muslim into the white house, and I am backing up Obama 100%. Why? Because I have done research into your claims and they are 100% garbage. The fact that he had an upbringing that included elements of Islam doesn't make him a Muslim today anymore so than my catholic upbringing made me a Catholic (which I am not).
