Well, some people on here will assume that because I'm liberal I'm voting for Hillary Clinton (I don't THINK so), so it goes both ways.
Whether it's a majority or a very vocal minority, people form perceptions based on what they see and have to remember not to tar everyone with the same brush. I wish more conservatives would come out against Bush; he's done a lot of harm to this country and to his party.

Bless you for being mature enough to be able to come out and say you are a conservative, you liked Clinton, and you don't always agree with Bush. You don't find that too often on here.

I'm not a huge fan of Bush's either. He is far to liberal on key issues for me. He has expanded the size of government, allowed spending to get out of control, is weak on immigration, seems to love the idea giving away our sovereignty in international treaties and a possible merger between us, Canada and Mexico, so we can compete in the global market.
Btw, I am a conservative.

Guess what Laura, The Republican party we have now is more Fascist than conservative. That's why you feel alienated from the GOP! Sucks don't it! I am a Liberal Democrat myself, and this government is way too big and way too intrusive for me! It really doesn't have anything to do with real Repub's,they just took it over! Well that's the way I See it....,but,that's just me talking again.....

Absolutely!
There are shades of Democrat, Republican,Liberal & Democrat.
No need to be a complete" hard liner" if you can form your own opinions,
I happen to be a Democrat , but not a bleeding heart liberal.
Some Republicans are putting distance between the Pres. & themselves because of his less than statesman-like behavior.(to be polite).
Hope its because of " conscience" but most likely a move to survive till the next round of elections.
Voting is good, but "thinking" & then voting is better.
Best regards

Liberals think that everyone moves in lockstep like they do. An independent mind makes them nervous.
