That may be a mucous plug. It doesn't always come out in a glob, it can come out a little at a time. And mine was completely clear, there was no blood in it at all. But remember, losing a mucous plug is not an indication of labor. I lost mine almost a month before I was induced.

WOW - I hope your doctor is performing ultrasounds to ensure that your placenta is not deteriorating and that baby is getting enough oxygen. It's okay to wait on inducing if the placenta is fine and baby's head circumference is not too large to pass through. Yeah - I had some weird kind of discharge with one of my pregnancies and went to the hospital thinking that my waters broke. They had no explanation for what happened. What happened to me and others I know is - the day after they went in thinking that their water broke - that's when they went into true labor! Good luck and all the best to you - hang in there! Especially after having false labor - the doctor is thinking maybe tommorrow! But, yeah - as long as everything is okay - but get a second opinion from a nurse midwife or other ob-gyn - it never hurts to have a second opinion if you've begged to be induced. But, do remember that being induced is not all it's cracked up to be. Most women exprience and incredibly long labor like 16 hrs or more. I did with one of my kids and the contractions were at least 10x worse on the pain scale than natural labor.

i have the same problem..my pant *tmi* is always damp with a slightly thick, more watery clear white discharge. i dont know what is it. Never had that brownish pink discharge though. so i know its not my mucous plug, cuz its too clear and white to be your mucus plug..i havent bothered asking my doc. i dont think its a big problem..but call your doc if your worried

Sounds like a hormonal secretion or an infection.
If you are 11 days overdue and your doctor isn't inducing, there has to be a reason. Maybe you are not as far along as they thought. Ask you doctor why they don't want to induce, and if you want that- go see another doctor.

Congrats to you!I saw mine and it was gooey and clear with a tiny bit of a redish tint in it.I don't know if it's all the same but that's what mine looked like. You will know when the baby is coming because after that I laid down and I was having water just slowly leaking out of me-FYI-I always thought your water breaking was like a big gush and it wasn't.The Dr is always right, take their advice!I wish you luck:)

let me explain this to you, the first child i was induced did not see the mucus plug. my last child though, i lost my mucus plug and i saw it. It looked like an extremely huge booger, a nasty looking brown colored booger, like the color of brown rice. it was nasty and basically a big glop of gloop.......hope that helps you out :) good luck with baby!

hey i think you should ask for them to induce you, as it is not good for baby to go over term for more then 10 days....

as for what you can do, well, drink CASTOR oil, not catrol oil which is for cars.. but CASTOR oil.. it will put you in labour in no time.....

good luck
