When you say that you care about starving people in Africa, do you really mean it?

I truly do care. I feel terrible that I have so many things that other people have to do without. I would give up anything that I have if I knew it would actually get there and help all those people. If everyone care than there would be so many, but it's kind of like ppl put themselves before others instead of the other way around. I would donate money to, if I actually had some. I'm not poor, but I dont have the money to give only the spare change I give to the bell ringers, but I do care.

Most of the people that say that will pass by the homeless starving people here without seeing or careing about them. Just bums, useless, get a job. Then they donate to a charity to feed the starving African children - so they can feel good about themselves. 9 out of 10 dollars going to pay for the administrators homes, cars, transportation to confrences, and advertisments to raise more money.

i agree its bad, and want it to change, but to say i "feel bad" wudnt be correct. its hard to feel an emotion for something thats so far away and impersonal, like reading about a car crash in the paper, u agree its bad, and it wud be good not to happen, but u wont start crying. its just human nature. i dunt reallay know what u mean by care, cause care doesnt say if it means emotional or not. i think the english language fails to show the complexities of this particular kind of situation and a persons reaction to it ♥

"They" mean that they're happy that they are not the ones who are starving, because the starving people are taking their place so Americans do not have to starve.
