Let's see, I've missed going to the church for a good friends of mines wedding.....and was late to the reception watching the Columbus Day weekend game three years ago
I was at a 50th wedding anniversary party three months ago that happened to be above a KOC (Knights of Columbus) and they tried to throw me out because I wasn't a member. That wasn't pretty.....I didn't budge and missed the party
And the list goes on.....

I am not sure if you are talking about soccer or American football, but yes, it is quite common for males to be enthralled with either of these sports. I also enjoy these sports, though I am female, because I play soccer and know the rules of American football enough to understand it. While it can be exasperating to be ignored and placed underneath a simple game, maybe you could try to become a little more informed about these sports so you can enjoy watching them with your husband sometimes, and he could try to be more conscious of his viewing habits. From my experience, watching football with my family can give us something to talk about as long as it doesn't get in the way of other activities and conversations.

I love football ... its sorta like a safe Gladiators .... They get out al my aggression..... I just wish my boss was down there on the field ... without the helmet & pads.
