i have a problem i need to put the following y-intercept form into standard form> y=1/4+7/8 . i dont know how to do it when there is 2 fractions i only know how to do it when there is one fraction and that is the slope fraction?

Chane 1/4 to 2/8, which is another way of expressing the same number. Then it will be easy to add the two fractions.

I'm not going to do your homework for you, but with that hint you should be able to get it.

First get everything the same so it is easier to go to eigths. so change 1/4 to 2/8 y=2/8+7/8 or y=9/8. Now divide 8 into 9 and you will get the value of y

Does this have anything to do with "y" chromosomes and "x" chromosomes? Maybe something to do with the angle of my dangle?
