The title King of the Jungle is usually used to refer to the lion. However, the vast majority of lions live on the open savannahs of Africa, not in jungles - the only lions outside Africa and the savannah habitat is the small population of Asiatic lions in the Gir Forest of India. Because of this, the term King of Beasts is preferable for the lion. Personally, I'd use King of the Jungle for the tiger instead. In response to slawsayssss's answer, there is no actual species called the panther. A panther is just a melanistic leopard - that is, a leopard with an excess of the dark pigment melanin, resulting in an almost totally black coat (the spots will still show up against the background in certain lights). And for Taimoor - birds ARE animals. Did you mean 'lion for mammals, hawk for birds'?

I keep thinking that it has to be an ant. I know... an ant isn't an animal, but that's the best I could think of right now.
