Reducing by wearing away. In geology, erosion may be caused by wind or water. Waves erode the shore, streams erode their banks, winds erode sand dunes.

erosion is the breaking down and transportation of earths surface.
chemical erosion: natural acids like rain water and sulfur.
physical erosion : freezing and thawing, wind, water,.....

there is another name for biological erosion that i cant think of. it is erosion caused by plants and animals.
