Loving freely and without the expectation of return or reward is an art, a skill worth honing. For me, the lines have always been blurred when it comes to knowing when to love, and I wonder, is this something we can choose?
Quitting something, while the process can sometimes be miserably uncomfortable, I have never failed to recognize the need, nor the will to follow through.

When you love something until you can't feel anymore, that's when it's time to quit. Numbness, that's when you quit, not a moment before, because then you wonder what might have been, not a moment after because a broken heart can lead to apathy.

Yes. If the thing I love becomes something that makes me unhappy and interferes with my enjoyment of other things I love, it is time for me to find a way to quit.

Ha, I doubt it, I think most are blinded by certain things, which will lead us to believing something from the start... or not letting us quit towards the end... though I think knowing when to quit might come easier in certain situations...

Yes, usually I realize it about the time that my heart is laying shattered on the floor, I think by then it is too late though!!
