Is there a way you can get dsl from your provider, if it is available, get it. All dial ups are a maximum of 56 kbps, no faster.

i dont get it, why would a hole bunch of trees have anything to do with dial-up. if anything, i would say dial-up is more endangering to the trees due to the fact is uses the telephone poles. and everyone nows those things are hazardous.

but if you insist, netzero is a good one, i had it for a while and it was pretty fast for dial-up. and its only 9.95 a month.

DSL is really the way to go tho, Cox cable (i'm not sure they're in your area) is going fiber optic. they're laying everything down underground (safe from the trees). you should check with digital cable providers in your area and ask about their DSL. its waaaayyy faster and has a more secure connection, meaning it doesnt cut out like on dial-up. plus it doesnt tie up your phone line.

or try verizon wireless, i believe they have a broadband service.

By law an ISP cannot provide dial-up service faster than 53.3 kbs. A faster dial-up would cause interference with regular (POTS) telephone service .

Sorry, dude :-(
