I'm trying to get some unique ballroom dancing songs, but I am musically ungifted and I cannot tell when a song has 4/4, 3/4, or 2/4 tempo. Can anyone tell me how to pick out the meter/tempo/rhythm?

Or, if you can just give me a list of really good songs (divided up by their tempo), that'd be awesome. Beats per minute should be between 30 and 60. I'm not looking for traditional ballroom dancing songs, just normal radio songs that can be danced to.

Just for reference:
Tango: 2 beats per bar
Samba: 2 beats per bar
Waltz: 3 beats per bar
Foxtrot: 4 beats per bar
Rumba: 4 beats per bar
Cha Cha: 4 beats per bar
Swing: 4 beats per bar
Salsa: 4 beats per bar
Quickstep: 4 beats per bar

Best way to do it is listen to the drums... they usually start a measure with a symbal so just listen to how many beats inbetween symbals.... simplest way i think

The vast majority of popular music is in 4/4. Some exceptions off the top of my head are "Money" by Pink Floyd, in 7/4, and the original Mission Impossible Theme, in 5/4.

Sorry I can't name any more, but I will edit this if I hear anything in 3/4. And I can't really tell the difference between 2/4 and 4/4 unfortunately.
