Or at least boycott the radio station that continuously plays them?

Seriously--it's time for a new sound. They have about 150 versions of the same song--different title.

(my rant for the day)

Don't be too hard on them, Shizz. It must be pretty unpleasant to sing while trying to pass a kidney stone. LOL

What, you mean they're still a band?? Still on the air and everything....? O_O

Heh...that's just one more reason why I don't listen to the radio these days. All the *good* bands are gone, broken up, have had their lead singers die.....

And yet, some six, going on seven years since they *groaned* their way to fame on the soundtrack to the *first* Spider-Man movie...they're still groaning. -_-

I'm glad I got out while I could. When I noticed their second "hit" sounded the same as their first one (groany), I turned off the radio, shut down the videos on TV....well, not just from them, but from a few others as well.

And just so we're clear, it's not the repetition. It's the repetition of a *bad sound*. I can listen to AC/DC or ZZ Top all day, and both of those bands made a living out of *finding new ways* to play the same three tunes. The difference is, they were tunes folks *liked to hear*, and not some groany-moany half-country crap. And that's putting it politely so I don't have to hash up my language....

But yeah....these folks need to ride their Zamboni back to the Yukon or whatever, EHH? o_O (end mock-Canadian moment, not sure what that was a-boat)

Point is, I hear ya. ^_^ Hope this helps.

Well, you're not kidding about the "soundalike" part. I heard some DJ cracking on them pretty bad once, and to drive the point home, he had remixed two of their hit songs together. Same key, same tempo, right down to where the choruses kicked in...pretty funny! To be fair though, there are a lot of bands you could probably make the same argument for. Remember all those Aerosmith songs in the mid 90s, didn't they all kind of blend together into a big, quivering, Don't Wanna Miss a Crazy F-I-N-E mess of song doctored product?

i exploit to take heed to rock and previous nickelback and previous creed have been tremendously impressive yet now they the two suck. creed my own penitentiary replaced right into a tremendously great cd. i in basic terms pay attention to steel now so my opinion is nearly irrelevant. people who nevertheless pay attention to rock probably think of those 2 bands are nevertheless impressive, as a result their persevering with popularity and fulfillment. and to be straightforward eating and rock only style of pass mutually, why be all b*tchy approximately that incident.

Actually I went to see them in concert this summer and I liked them. But I have heard a lot of people with that same complaint. For me that is the way Rob Thomas sounds....same old sound...

Good Lord--it's like you read my mind! I equate Nickelback's music with a fork scraping on a plate. Except that I can tolerate the fork sound just a bit more.

And that guy never shuts up,

He sings in the same monotone voice through the entire song,

I don't even think he pauses to take a breath.

What a wind bag.
