And why are they so confident about the next election when G.W. Bush has a 2:1 edge in poll ratings?

They are inept to say the least. Not surprising since their entire election message was "Bush sucks vote for us." Now that they have to make decisions, the Monday morning quarterback model doesn't get it done.

The democrat controlled congress is worthless. The republican controlled congress before them was worthless. Why? Because the houses are so close that neither party can ram through any legislation. So, instead of working together for the good of the country they keep trying to push through their own agendas. This is why no one in the US trusts any of our current congress people. Bush's poll numbers are low but congress' numbers are even lower and they need to be. The dem's should not be confident and neither should the republicans. We the people might just revolt and elect only independents.

--There is no "democratic controlled Congress". If there were, our military troops would have been home a year ago.

--It's not "they" who are so confident. You don't need fake polls to realize there's been a growing tension in this country for years. The tension of a people ready for change. Many Republican supporters have and will continue to change party affiliation.

Now, bring on the thumbs down with this self righteous republican question.

G. W. Bush has a 2:1 poll edge ? News to me. The last poll I could find relative to the work of the Democrats in Congress indicated that their approval rating was about ten points above that of Bush. (If you add the GOP Congress critters into the mix, the numbers drop considerably).

So who is it that has the two to one edge? Or do you think this is like golf, where a really low score is good?

Democrats or only slightly favored over Republicans, and of course the majority think Bush sucks.

The Democrats now control both the House and the Senate and for almost one year they have not passed any significant legislation; they have made President Bush veto Immigration Reform because they amended the bill with all sorts of other proposals which had nothing to do with immigration. They have done nothing to strengthen our borders. They restrict defense spending then have the audacity to say " We support the troops" ? They did, however, vote in a lot of "Pork Barrel" ( With a Politically Correct title--- Earmarks ) so that they could fool us " Iggorent voters"

Kinda funny that with all the "hoopla" and "fanfare" and all the "meaningful changes for America" and "great victory for the democratic party"the dems have ended up with the lowest congressional approval rating in the history of the USA!! What an achievment and "VICTORY" that is!!

The Democratic Congress is proof that the Republicans are sell outs. The Republicans could have gone for the throat, but chose to act like Democrats instead. I think it's time we continued to teach them a lesson.

That's why the GOP is also nicknamed the Stupid Party.
Republicans lose when they try to out liberal the Democrats.
Behind closed doors, they are both buddy-buddy.
