Would you have your child genetically engineered or modified in order to remove genetic deformities, disorders, or for example, the probability of having a heart disorder later on in life, if it were safe to do so?

My personal opinion, I'm not sure. Obviously I wouldn't want my kid to for example, have poor eyesight or something if I could have that fixed and it were safe to. However, I also think that if it were possible to genetically modify a person like that, it might become too 'stepford' or people might start to become alike--if you can modify people disease-wise then it could progress to physical appearance, etc.

Absolutely, I would. If I had the ability to save my child from a premature death or chronic health problems, how could I not do it?

God created us all in his own special particle way and if we had a special defect he would want us to go with it and teach others how to deal with that same defect .,{ if we were meant to be perfect God would have created us that way.}
