Everyone says 9/11. It sucked and it was sad but I just don't think it's the saddest thing I've heard. I read an article about a woman who cut her baby's arms off. I read about a woman who injected her baby with feces to make it sick because she liked the attention the nurses at the hospital gave her. There was a woman who stabbed her three children then stabbed herself to death. Crimes against children are by far the worst and most depressing news I can ever hear.

Many years ago he parents of a young boy were convicted of murdering their young son.Now a technicality may free these people. The coroner had apparently did a sloppy job on several cases and as such his reports are all suspect. This poor little boy had old fractures, bruising and past injuries that were nothing else but abuse. There was a photo of this young boy with what appeared to be 2 black eyes.I would hate to feel justice is denied this little innocent over sloppy work..Unfortunately his death is not an isolated case but it just sicks in my mind.

When Princess Diana died was probably the saddest because she was OUR princess.
9/11 was dreadful, awful but somehow unreal and then of course , I think the Tsunami, a couple of Boxing Days ago was very scary, particularly recently when I read that a Q/A . Happy (Christmas) Murcia was one of the people running to find his lost child.
It ,makes you count your blessings, doesn't it?

The saddest thing I have heard in the media is that the proliferation of child porn continues to grow. My heart breaks every time I hear about babies and small children who are used to satisfy some sickos perverse pleasures.

It's hard to put it down to just one. 9/11 was sad but more frightening. I have actually cried when I've heard about children murdered as a result of abuse. There is just know excuse for it in this day and age. Any time a child dies is sad but when it is from abuse it's really sad.

Of course for the obvious reasons 9-11, which stopped our country's HEART!!!!!!!! It broke my heart....to see the devestation of that day....To this day I still cry and wonder why, if we as a country could come together like that over such a tragedy......why we cannot do it AGAIN??? We could change things......I noticed someone posted GAS PRICES..have you forgot about 9-11 and if not, remember how you felt that day.....if you want to change GAS PRICES we as AMERICANS......have to UNITE!!!!

ANYWAY, on a more personal note for myself, the VA TECH shooting, I knew kids there!!!! It hurt, it still hurts to this day!!! My son's girlfriend will be going to college there, and her brother is already there....so that is very hard for me.....
School shootings in general, plus kids doing the shooting.....
We need to take care of our kids!!!!!!!!!!!

The media's inflated self importance and pom-pas, arrogant attitude. Their holier than thou manner is pretty pathetic. So, the saddest thing is the media itself.
